Sara Geurts, din Minneapolis, Minnesota, are 26 de ani dar boala de care sufera o face sa para mult mai in varsta. Conditia ei genetica, care afecteaza o persoana din 5.000 in toata lumea, i-a provocat un exces de piele pe tot corpul. De asemenea, Sara are muschii si articulatiile foarte sensibile.
"Am observat ca pe masura ce imbatranesc durerile se inmultesc. Incerc sa nu port haine prea stramte pentru ca imi cauzeaza constrictie si pielea in exces se poate rupe", spune tanara.
Pentru a-si usura durerile, Sara apeleaza la masaj, acupunctura si marijuana medicala, care este legala in Minnesota. Dupa ce a suferit si a incercat sa-si ascunda conditia adolescenta, Sara si-a acceptat corpul si vrea sa devina model si intentioneaza sa se mute in Los Angeles pentru a-si indeplini acest vis.
